My foray into the world of Publishing

My first children´s book is live on amazon!

I first got the idea a few months back when we were moving to a new town. That was a very big change especially while trying to cope with the ´new normal´ in a pandemic.

I wondered if my kids would adjust and continue to be their happy little selves. Honestly, I also wondered if I would adjust! The thought of leaving behind my close circle of friends, my line of support was borderline frightening. Maybe this book is for my kids (who by the way, are like happy fish - from one bowl to another), or maybe it is for yours truly :)

Publishing a book is a long and complicated process. It starts like a wee seed that has to be nurtured and cared for as it blooms into one´s vision. There were various hurdles along the way, one having to change illustrators half-way through because it was just not the right fit. I finally found Gayani, my current illustrator and I could not be happier. Her beautiful illustrations really captured the essence of Lulu. Finally after months (and many late nights!) of research, discussions, troubleshooting formatting issues, and all kinds of ups and downs - my book is live!
